  • http://www.tesaonline.org/ TESA (Trans Equality Society of Alberta) is a trans advocacy group that works with authorities to build a more inclusive Alberta for trans people.
  • https://www.skippingstone.ca/ Skipping Stones offers a variety of programs designed to help with gender affirmation and resilience building. Although based in Calgary, they offer virtual options to folks throughout Alberta.

  • https://www.ualberta.ca/fyrefly-institute/index.html  University of Alberta – Fyrefly Institute for Gender and Sexual Identity. The Fyrefly Institute offers a variety of educational programs based on research for youth and their families, including a summer camp Fyrefly, that aims to develop resilience in 2SLGBTQIA+ youth.
  • ACLRC: Alberta Civil Liberties Research Centre: https://www.aclrc.com/ – The ACLRC offers free presentations and workshops across Alberta on human rights (including 2SLGBTQIA+ rights) topics.

Free HIV self-testing kits:

  • https://orders.catie.ca/book/hiv-self-testing-kit/ CATIE (Canadian AIDS Treatment Information Exchange) provides free anonymous self-testing kits through the mail. CATIE also provides many resources on sexual health, STI prevention, testing and treatment options.
  • https://www.gofreddie.com/ – Gofreddie is an affirming online clinic that specializes in PrEP (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis), a preventive medication that greatly reduces the risks of HIV transmission.

Religious Affiliations:

  • https://www.gaychurch.org/ provides a directory of affirming churches for Canada and the United-States. They also provide spirituality resources for the community.
